No. On the contrary, we pay annual assessment to the diocese, based on a formula applied to all churches in the diocese. Our assessment for 2011 was over $48,000. These funds are used to support the diocese’s administration and programming, including support of missions and ministries in urban areas that are unable to support themselves. We cannot reduce the amount of our assessment – on the contrary, as we grow, our assessment will continue to go up.
