Rev. Jon Carl Strand, Rector

The Rev. Jon Strand has been serving at St. Paul's since 1998.  He holds degrees from Yale Divinity School, M. Div 1992, a certificate from the Yale Institute of Sacred Music, 1992 and a certificate in Anglican Studies from Berkeley Divinity School at Yale. He has a Bachelor of Arts from Wichita State University and a Bachelor of Music Performance (trumpet) 1988.

Prior to coming to St. Paul's in Natick, Jon served as Canon Resident at St. Luke's Cathedral in Portland, Maine. His areas of ministry focus have been in church growth, organizational development, preaching, music and youth ministry, hospice work, and street ministry to the homeless. As a trumpeter, he has given recitals throughout New England.

Jon is an avid runner, kayaker, and a very amateur gardener. He and his wife Beth, an oncology nurse practitioner, live in Natick and have 3 children, Elizabeth, Sarah Banks and Mark.

 

Monique Weiss Byrnes, Director of Music

Monique Weiss Byrnes received a Masters in Choral Conducting and Bachelors in Organ Performance from Oberlin Conservatory of Music (1987).  She began playing organ in church at the age of eleven and has been Director of Music in churches since age nineteen.  She has performed organ concerts throughout Germany, Austria, England, Holland and the Northeast.  She has accompanied choirs on tour to England, Wales, France and Poland.

She is an accompanist with the Newton Community Chorus with whom she has performed works by Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Duruffle, Faure, Haydn, Mozart, Poulenc, Telemann and Vivaldi. She has performed and taught organ, piano and voice in the Boston area since 1987. In 2008 Monique began composing choral music, trumpet descants and Psalm antiphons for St. Paul’s.

Monique’s ministry work is in music and the creative arts.  She enjoys cooking, baking, watercolor, gardening, holistic health, running and yoga.  She lives in Foxborough with her husband Brendan, a professional drummer and teacher, and two children, Luke and Chloe.

 

Amy Till, Youth Ministry Coordinator

A parishioner at St. Paul’s since 2002, Amy began her journey with youth ministry as a youth leader in 2003. She loves creating a supportive atmosphere for young people and youth leaders alike, where everyone can have fun, ask questions, get to know one other, learn about God’s love, and share their gifts. Amy comes to the St. Paul’s staff after working 15 years in corporate IT and IT consulting services. She is an amateur guitarist, and enjoys crocheting, baking, and canoeing. Amy lives in Framingham with her husband, John, and two children, Joe and Cassie.

 

Pat Sockol, Office Administrator

Pat is the friendly voice that greets you over the phone and the smiling face that welcomes you to our church offices on the second floor of Gale House, next to the church itself.  She has been with St. Paul’s since August 2000.  Pat excels at multi-tasking for our busy and growing church.  She is in the office weekday mornings from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

 

John Inferrere, Sexton

John has been with St. Paul’s since May 2004 and is in charge of our buildings and grounds.  He works closely with the Chair of our Property Committee to assure that the church space is welcoming and accessible to all.  John has high standards.  Everyone in the parish appreciates his cheerful and caring presence.
