Pine Street Inn update:
Yes, we are serving again!
An email was sent out to past outreach volunteers this summer, and we also want others to be aware of this important ministry that we participate in.
Our current schedule will be every other month on the 2nd Sunday of the month, and our next date will be December 11th.
As you can imagine, there have been some changes due to the recent pandemic, and we will no longer be preparing the food that we serve. I know this will be a disappointment for those that liked to shop or prepare the chop suey or salad, and unfortunately this looks to be a permanent change. We will also only need two volunteers to serve, as opposed to the previous three.
The upside to these changes is that we won’t require as large a commitment of people in order to continue to support this important ministry, and the added ease of no longer needing to pack up all the food and supplies at the parish before heading into Boston.
If I haven’t already been in touch with you via email, please reach out to me at the email below if you are interested in volunteering or hearing more about this much-loved St. Paul’s outreach ministry.
For those of you that have already indicated your interest in volunteering, the Sign-Up Genius for the next 7-month schedule will be online shortly.
