"Seeing things more Queerly" ~ A Musical Theater Cabaret
Sunday, June 11, 2023, 4:00 PM
Join us for the 1st Concert in our St. Paul's Summer Series:
With almost 20 years of theatrical experience under his belt, Jesús Garibay has done it all: straight plays, music, ballet, opera, and musical theater - one of his biggest passions and proudly, his area of expertise. Recently graduated from the Atlantic Acting School in NYC, he has now discovered his love for directing and producing his own work. One of his latest accomplishments is being a part of the last BIPOC Lab hosted by the Kennedy Center last year, in which Jesús played an important part in bringing queer Latinx voices forward in a space usually occupied by white cis-het men. By the end of June, he'll be embarking on his most heroic task to date, and one that has changed his life forever, as Jean Valjean in México City's production of Les Miserables. Come enjoy hearing and getting to know Jesús at St. Paul's services on June 4th and 11th at 10am, as well as in a special musical theatre concert with St. Paul's very own music minister, Kelvyn Koning, at 4pm on June 11th. Finally, don't forget to listen to Jesús online as well at https://www.youtube.com/@
