BSAFE 2010: August 2-6

Summer Outreach! Come build the kingdom with us and help increase the peace in Boston.  We need your help!

St. Paul’s has once again (for our 4th year) committed to be a partner church to the B-SAFE Program (Bishop’s Summer Academic and Fun Enrichment Program) out of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Boston. This program will provide a safe, enriching summer camp experience at a nominal fee for 550 children and youth in Boston. During the week of August 2nd – August 6th, St. Paul’s parishioners and friends will prepare (at St. Paul’s), deliver, and serve snack and lunch and read for 30 minutes with campers at St. Mary’s in Dorchester each day.  We will plan and fund a field trip on Friday, August 6th  to Stage Fort Park in Gloucester.  Our parishioners can join the campers on the field trip day for a great day swimming and playing in a beautiful setting!

We need volunteers to prepare and deliver the food, shop for food, make baked goods for deserts, stay to help serve and read, and participate in the field trip. If you would like to help, please sign up in Sherrill Hall during coffee hour at the Outreach bulletin board.

We still need to raise about $600 to cover our expenses which works about to about $10 per camper.  If you’d like to sponsor a camper (or more than one), please drop a check in the collection plate to St. Paul’s Natick with ‘B-SAFE’ on the memo line.

Thank you for your support!
